Privacy Policy

Version V1.0 Effective 9 September 2026

VePulse is a digital news, social, communication, discovery, and AI-assisted platform operated by VeWeb Platforms Inc., a corporation incorporated in British Columbia, Canada.

This Privacy Policy describes how personal information and other data are collected, used, processed, disclosed, retained, and protected when individuals access or use VePulse, including its mobile applications, websites, Newsroom, Dispatchers, DispatchChat, messaging and group features, search and discovery tools, recommendation systems, notifications, embedded Metrexy-powered experiences, and other services that reference this Policy.

Certain dedicated Metrexy experiences are governed by separate Metrexy privacy, terms, and connection documents presented when those experiences are accessed.

VePulse combines personalized news, public conversation, social interaction, messaging, local discovery, recommendations, and AI-assisted experiences.

Providing these features may require processing information relating to:

  • accounts and identities;
  • user-generated content;
  • social relationships;
  • communications;
  • device and network activity;
  • content consumption;
  • inferred interests;
  • location;
  • recommendations;
  • safety and moderation;
  • AI interactions; and
  • subscription or advertising activity where applicable.

Personal information is processed for identified purposes and in accordance with applicable privacy law.

Where a particular use requires additional notice, consent, or choice, VePulse may provide an in-product control or separate consent mechanism.

Account and Profile Information

Information associated with account creation or management may include:

  • display name;
  • username;
  • email address;
  • telephone number where applicable;
  • date of birth or age information;
  • profile photograph or avatar;
  • biography;
  • language or region settings;
  • privacy preferences;
  • account status;
  • verification information;
  • authentication and security information; and
  • information submitted to support.

Content Created on VePulse

VePulse processes content created, uploaded, shared, or otherwise made available through the platform, including:

  • Dispatches;
  • Thoughts;
  • Happenings;
  • Memories;
  • Polls;
  • Events;
  • photographs;
  • videos;
  • audio;
  • links;
  • attachments;
  • ReDispatches;
  • Pulses and reactions;
  • DispatchChat messages;
  • hashtags;
  • mentions;
  • captions;
  • group content;
  • reports;
  • moderation submissions; and
  • other submitted material.

Visibility settings may determine who can see particular content.

A restricted or private visibility setting does not necessarily prevent processing required for delivery, safety, moderation, storage, recommendations, security, or operation of the applicable feature.

VePulse may provide individual and group messaging features.

Where a messaging experience is identified as end-to-end encrypted, message content is designed to remain accessible to the participants rather than readable by VePulse in the ordinary operation of the service.

Information necessary to operate encrypted communications may still be processed, including:

  • participant identifiers;
  • delivery information;
  • timestamps;
  • encrypted payloads;
  • group membership;
  • public cryptographic keys;
  • connection information;
  • security signals; and
  • related technical metadata.

If a participant reports, forwards, shares, or otherwise voluntarily provides message content to VePulse, the submitted content may be reviewed for the purpose for which it was provided.

End-to-end encrypted private messaging is distinct from DispatchChat.

DispatchChat is a conversation layer associated with Dispatches, articles, topics, and other VePulse content.

DispatchChat activity may be processed to:

  • operate discussions;
  • organize conversation threads;
  • detect spam or abuse;
  • identify harassment or platform manipulation;
  • enforce platform rules;
  • understand topic-level activity;
  • improve recommendations;
  • evaluate content quality;
  • improve VePulse;
  • improve Metrexy and related AI systems where permitted;
  • provide contextual AI responses;
  • identify emerging discussion themes; and
  • generate aggregate or topic-level summaries.

VePulse and Metrexy systems may analyze relevant Dispatches and DispatchChat discussions to identify broad themes, viewpoints, questions, concerns, or patterns appearing around a subject.

For aggregate community-summary functionality, systems are designed to describe the overall discussion rather than attribute a particular statement to a named user.

This does not convert public content into private or anonymous content. Public Dispatches and DispatchChat messages may remain independently visible according to their applicable visibility settings.

VePulse may include features powered by Metrexy or other artificial-intelligence systems.

These may include:

  • Ask Follow-up;
  • article and Dispatch explanations;
  • summaries;
  • contextual responses;
  • AI-assisted search;
  • topic analysis;
  • recommendation support;
  • discovery assistance;
  • conversation analysis;
  • AI-assisted content tools; and
  • other intelligent experiences.

When an AI feature is used within VePulse, processing may include:

  • the user’s query, prompt, question, or instruction;
  • relevant Dispatches or articles;
  • DispatchChat context;
  • search or retrieval context;
  • generated responses;
  • interactions with AI responses;
  • feedback;
  • account context;
  • interest signals;
  • location context where applicable;
  • safety signals; and
  • device or performance information.

AI interactions may be retained or analyzed to:

  • provide responses;
  • preserve conversation context;
  • evaluate answer quality;
  • identify incorrect or unsafe responses;
  • diagnose failures;
  • improve retrieval systems;
  • improve personalization;
  • evaluate model performance;
  • improve VePulse;
  • develop, train, test, evaluate, or improve Metrexy and related machine-learning systems where permitted by law; and
  • develop new AI capabilities.

Automated systems may review AI interactions.

Limited information may also be reviewed by authorized personnel or service providers where reasonably necessary for:

  • quality evaluation;
  • security;
  • support;
  • debugging;
  • fraud prevention;
  • abuse investigation; or
  • safety.

Where a secondary AI use requires separate consent or choice under applicable law, an additional control or consent mechanism may be provided.

Dedicated Metrexy Experiences

Use of an AI feature embedded in VePulse does not necessarily activate all Metrexy services.

Dedicated Metrexy experiences may require acceptance of separate Metrexy legal documents.

Information may be collected about how VePulse is used, including:

  • Dispatches viewed;
  • Newsroom articles opened or read;
  • content categories viewed;
  • topics explored;
  • searches;
  • hashtags;

Location may be used to provide local news, local trends, event discovery, geographically relevant Dispatches, recommendations, search results, and AI responses.

Depending on permissions and settings, VePulse may process:

  • approximate location inferred from IP or network information;
  • city, region, province/state, or country-level information;
  • manually selected location;
  • device location where permission has been granted;
  • location attached to a Dispatch or Event; and

  • personalize search;
  • improve discovery;
  • provide locally relevant Metrexy responses;
  • detect suspicious activity;

Publicly discoverable groups may be treated differently from private, restricted, link-only, or PIN-protected groups.
